Once you find that check for AC voltage in and out of the transfer switch, no AC voltage going out bad transfer switch. You need the AC power so the power converter (or inverter) will charge the battery. Without the charger working the DC voltage is not going to work……

What you can try if you feel comfortable is unplug the cord and bypass the transfer switch, disconnect the generator side and tape the wires up hook up the wires as they are together and see if you get AC power…..
