Why does my fresh water tank always read empty?

By John Kim |

Why does my fresh water tank always read empty?

My fresh water tank always reads empty, regardless of how much water is in it. Black and grey are working fine. All three tanks use the same type of harness, a single wire for each tank comes from the panel, goes in to a cylinderical pack and emerges as 4 wires. Each of the 4 wires is connected to 4 probes on each tank. Empty, 1/3, 2/3, and full.

What can I do about false tank readings?

The tank flush has a nozzle that sprays high pressure streams of water in every direction inside the tank. After I empty the tank, I flush the tank for several minutes. This cleans the tank sensors and helps prevent build-up on the sensors that can result in false tank readings.

What should I do if my control panel is not opening?

Step 1: Open Windows Settings and choose Update & Security. Step 2: Switch to Windows Security section and click Virus & threat protection. Step 3: In the pop-up window, click Scan now to perform a quick scan.

Why is my fresh water tank not showing on the monitor?

This is probably not a “fuse” issue since the lights are actually working, sounds more like a monitor panel issue since all four indicators are showing full. Sometimes you will get a false reading due to contamination in the tank arching across the probes but that is usually just one or two tanks and almost never the fresh water tank.

Why are the lights on my tank panel not working?

We have a 2005 Winnebago Adventurer & all 4 items on our tank panel have all lights lite. Could this be a fuse problem? Grey, black & fresh water are all empty but show full.

What should fresh water level be on Jayco?

On our Jayco, the KIB panel was showing fresh water level and not gray or black levels. I found several broken wires at the tank sensors. At least on the KIB, there’s a common ground to all tanks, and a dedicated hot wire for each tank. So for Black, Gray, and Fresh, there’s a total of four wires. Three individual hot leads and the common ground.

What to do if your refrigerator display panel is not working?

We have seen many people having all the food in the refrigerator and freezer going bad as the power was out for many many hours. If after a power outage, your refrigerator is cooling or not cooling, you will usually need to reset the front display panel.
