What temperature should my Waeco fridge be set at?

In fact, the ideal temperature for your fridge compartment is approximately 2-3°C as this offers the perfect balance between having your food spoiled and having your food frozen. The freezer compartment should be at a temperature of approximately -10°C to -20°C depending on what you want to keep frozen.

What is the ideal temperature for a fridge to run at?

The ideal fridge temperature is between 37°F (3°C) and 40°F (5°C). Your freezer temperature should be at 0°F (-18°C). And it takes about 24 hours for your fridge to adjust to any changes you make.

What should the temp be on a WAECO thermistor?

After a while though, the temperature display was showing random numbers… 53, 28 and eventually 80. 80 is the maximum temperature the fridge will display, so is a good indication the thermistor has shorted out internally. I’ll explain this further below. When this happens, the fridge runs constantly.

What kind of resistance does a WAECO CF Fridge have?

Waeco CF fridges use a 10k ohm thermistor. Resistance decreases as temperature rises. So if the internals of the thermistor have shorted out, there will be zero (or nearly zero) resistance. And if the resistance is zero, then the fridge controller will think the fridge temperature is at or above 80°C.

How long does a Waeco car fridge last?

In hot conditions the battery would run the fridge for a couple of days, as a rough rule of thumb. Of course, this depends on how full it is and how cool overnight temperatures are. You can easily set 3 levels of battery voltage. LOW – the fridge will cut out at 10.4V (use when connected to a 2nd battery). MED – the fridge will cut out at 11.4V.

Are there any problems with Engel Waeco refrigerators?

And neither camp will be swayed. Engel (and other) fridge owners will tell you that Waeco are cheap plastic rubbish, the lids break, the compressors break down, they draw lots of power, the cigarette lighter plugs melt… the list of supposed ailments is a mile long. So, What’s the truth?

What’s the temperature range of the Dometic Waeco?

The unit offers a temperature range of between 10 and -22 degrees Celsius. However, it’s important to note that the ambient temperature affects this range. It operates comfortably in ambient temperatures of between 16 and 43 degrees Celsius. You may find that it can’t reach its coldest extremes at the higher end of that ambient scale.

Do you need to read the WAECO cf80 controller?

You need to read it at least twice. Waeco has added two extra proprietary PC boards to the basic Danfoss controller, and all work together in the CF80, and all must be in circuit for full operation. The frig can be made to work without the two extra Waeco boards, but with reduced facilities.
