What kind of engine does a cat 3126 have?

I have a 3126 in a 2004 Ford that was running fine when I parked it. Tried to start it after is sat for a couple of weeks. The engine cranks like it should but makes no signs of starting.

Is there any warranty on Cat 3126 cranks?

The diagrams I have seen don’t look exactly like my configuration. No warranty! Any thoughts?

Still haven’t had a scanner on it but the cat dealer thinks the heui pump and all 6 injectors need replacing ($3600.00 parts only). He says the low oil has killed the pump and spread metal cuttings throughout the injectors.

Not at all too techie! After trying everything I could think of or find elsewhere on the web, disconnecting the IAP allowed the 3126 to start immediately, but run just a little ragged. Reconnecting the IAP afterwards, while running, the engine smoothed out and continued to operate normally.

Where is the IAP on a 3126 engine?

Location: The IAP is located on the front left side of the engine and screws into the head just to the right of the HEUI pump. Has a 10″ wire harness with a triangular 3 pin connector. Google “3126 sensor locations” for some clear pictures if in doubt.
