What is LP quick connect?

This is a low-pressure propane system because the connections are located after your RV’s propane system pressure regulator. Since this is installed between your RV’s Propane tank and the regulator it is not pressure regulated and the pressure regulators on you grills and stove stay on.

  1. Turn off the gas at the propane tank.
  2. Disconnect the hose from the propane tank.
  3. Open the lid of your BBQ Grill.
  4. Turn all the burner valves to high.
  5. Wait for 2 minutes (just time enough for a soda)
  6. Turn off all the burner valves.
  7. Connect the gas line back up to the propane tank.

How to disconnect a propane quick connect hose?

If you are not sure if your quick connect is compatible please call (713) 222 6095. UL and CSA approved hoses and couplers automatically shut off the gas supply when disconnected and automatically turn on the gas supply when connected.

Where does the QD hose attach to a propane tank?

Our PT9 “PIGTAIL” permanently attaches to any gas appliance and the longer QD hose permanently attaches to a high pressure propane gas regulator on the propane tank. This results in a safe setup. Connect the QD and PT9 together and the propane gas is turned on. The valve is inside the Sturgis Couple-Safe coupler.
