How does the Roadtrek charge the House Battery?

There is a connection from the engine battery to the Roadtrek battery that turns on and off depending on the voltage found on each battery. When this clicks on to connect the two the engine battery will charge the house battery – and while the house battery is charging by shore power or generator, it will charge the engine battery.

Start the engine. Turn on the EcoTrek Power Batteries. Allow about 30 seconds for the batteries to start. If necessary, press and hold the Reset button on top of the panel. Once the batteries are on, plug into shore power if desired (to perform this, the inverter must be on) and turn off the engine. When not in use, turn the Power Batteries off.
