Unfortunately, you can’t be certain at this point that you’ve tightened the awning sufficiently. Repeat the process with the rear support arm, but rotate it clockwise, rather than counterclockwise, one turn.

How to fix an awning that wont extend or retract?

There will be screw that goes into the roller from the motor. You have to rotate it using a drill to make the awning extend or retract. In some cases the manual override will be near the motorhome end. There will be cap in front end which you have to remove to access the rotating hole. Make use of screw driver to remove the cap.

How to check the voltage of an awning?

Check voltage output on the Red and Black wire at the control box. If voltage is below 12.5, check voltage at supply, If OK it may be necessary to increase the wire size going to the control box. See FIG. 1.1. 1.2 Wire From Control Box to Awning.
