This antifreeze is non-flammable and does not taint water systems. Propylene glycol is a lubricant and will actually work to extend the life of the seals in your toilets and faucets. Do not pour antifreeze into your fresh water tank to run it through the pump into your water system.

Here is suggested step by step winterizing instructions to follow for protecting your RV water pump from freezing during the winter. Before we go into the steps here a few things you may need to do this job properly.

If installing for the first time, disconnect the hot and cold lines going in and out of the water heater Place the disconnected end of the water line in a jug of RV antifreeze. That’s the pink kind, not the green kind. The pink kind is RV antifreeze, which is GRAS — generally regarded as safe. The green kind is toxic.
