Do you have to have air suspension to ride?

Unfortunately at that lowered level you have no suspension travel. to get any kind of civilized ride quality you simply must have adequate suspension travel which means you will have to raise the car to ride height. The opposite of this is the customer who installs an air suspension as a band-aid to cure a tire clearance problem.

How much air pressure do you need for ride height?

The more air pressure that is required to achieve ride height, the more the vehicle weighs, and the more rebound valving that is typically needed to achieve proper performance. In general we start at 1 click from full soft for every 10-15psi of air pressure. Fine tuning can be started at that point.

Why is front end alignment set at Highway ride height?

Front end alignment is set at highway ride height. Actually alignment is easier to maintain with an air suspension than with a conventional suspension because you are able to compensate for any varying loads that would cause a conventional suspension to sag and loose alignment.

Is there an alternate ride height for a ram truck?

NOTE: For Ram 2500/3500 trucks equipped with rear air suspension, normal ride height or alternate ride height can be used. Position the truck to be ready to connect to the trailer (do not connect the trailer).

What’s the difference between normal and Aero ride height?

Normal Ride Height is the most comfortable balance of ride and handling for everyday driving. At highway speeds, Aero mode automatically lowers the vehicle, reducing aerodynamic drag and “body roll,” and measurably improving fuel efficiency. The difference from normal is -0.6 inches.

What should my off road air suspension height be?

Enjoy outstanding ride balance with Off-Road 1 mode, with an extra degree of clearance when off-road scenarios are less severe than those that warrant Off-Road 2 mode. The difference from normal is +1.2 inches front and +0.9 inches rear. Normal Ride Height is the most comfortable balance of ride and handling for everyday driving.

What is known about ride height / ground clearance / air?

Ask yourself whether you believe the ground clearance really changes based on the air suspension setting. Find the height of your truck and try to determine if that is the maximum height or the height when the suspension is set to normal ride height. That’s the sort of inquiries that will show you the reason I’m disappointed in this document.
