Are there any problems with the Winnebago slide?
Are there any problems with the Winnebago slide?
The slide problems in all probability would not have shown their ugly head until after some use. Even though ALL manufacturers have problems with new product, it seems certain manufacturers have the attitude that get them out the door and fix them later.
What was my previous Winnebago class a coach?
My previous coach was a 2008 Tiffin Phaeton which had every problem that could occur on Tiffins during their “problem period”, including small issues like shade string breaking, problems with the electric jacks, and the “Big Three”, Roof rails cracking, DS slide floor rotting, and wet bay floor rotting.
What are the most common slide out problems in RVs?
Whether you have a class A, class B, class C, fifth wheel, or travel trailer, let’s look at some of the most common RV slide-out problems. If your slideout does not move at all when you operate the slideout control switch, and you do not hear the motor or the pump running, then the first thing to check is the switch itself.
Do you need a slide out in a Class B RV?
While there is certainly room for debate here, a slide-out tends to give you more functional space in the Class B motorhome’s interior when it’s not deployed. A lot of side slide-out sections tend to collapse in on the kitchen and dinette area.

Can a schwintek be used to move a Winnebago?
IMHO poor installation and poor selection of the Schwintek to move heavy slides has caused problems for Winnebago and Thor. Schwinteks do fine when moving slides that smaller, like bedroom slides. They do poorly for the large kitchen and living room slides. Those are better moved by hydraulics or larger geared electric slides.
